OSSIR – Feedback on Prelude and JSSI 2014

OSSIR – Feedback on Prelude and JSSI 2014

On Tuesday, February 11, 2014, Mathieu Mauger and Guillaume Lopes spoke at the OSSIR Paris meeting.

This meeting was an opportunity to present the Prelude solution, as well as to share feedback on its implementation in a business context.

Presentation materials are available on our blog or on the website of the’OSSIR.

In addition, Vasileios Friligkos and Florian Guilbert, analysts from SOC Intrinsec, will speak at JSSI 2014 (Monday, March 17, 2014) on the topic of "Advanced Protection Techniques or how to use APTs against APTs (Advanced Persistent Threat)".

In this presentation, our two analysts will discuss methodologies for centralizing, aggregating, and correlating security events to maximize attack detection efficiency while minimizing false positives. This will allow us to establish indicators of compromise (IOCs) once a threat is identified, thus improving the comprehensiveness of detection. Our analysts will begin by presenting best practices for configuring a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, followed by an examination of two attack examples (one simple and one complex).
